LE PETIT VILLAGE - log cabins right on the beach at Bel Ombre set in pretty gardens right on the beach at Bel Ombre. All 7 units have fully equipped kitchenette, lounge and private sun deck with magnificent ocean views. Ceiling fans, air conditioning, television, telephone and private bathrooms are standard with all units which are serviced daily. CAFE DES ARTS - small personal B&B guesthouse on the beach of Cote D'Or. The cottages are large, comfortable and beautifully furnished with ceiling fans. All rooms are en-suite with bath & shower. Tea/coffee making facilities and mini fridge are provided, breakfast is included with a choice of nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner. DIVING: The Underwater Centre has 5 star PADI centres at Coral Strand in Mahe (close to Bel Ombre beach) and The Paradise Sun in Praslin (next door to Cafe Des Arts). Single dives cost R155, 5-dive package R735, 10-dive package R1 390 incl use of cylinder and weights. R215, R1 020 and R1 930 resp. incl use of all equipment. These prices are valid only for pre-booked dives. Diving is possible all year round, however, there are seasonal changes in water temperature, visibility and the state of the sea. The best months are March, April, May and September, October and November. The seas are calmest during these months. The visibility on offshore sites can be over 30 metres and temperatures reach 29'C. |
