| The Lodge: This colonial style lodge, situated on a private coconut tree shaded beach, is slightly isolated and away from the hustle and bustle of crowds, yet close enough to San Pedro to enjoy a day's shopping trip or even an evening in town. Catering to all types of fishermen, the lodge specializes in sight casting the flats. Their staff of courteous English-speaking guides are trained to accommodate every type of angler at every skill level. Waters surrounding the lodge offer a variety of fishing seldom found any place allowing one to: sight cast the flats for tarpon, bonefish, and permit cast the lagoons for ladyfish and snook, troll the reef for wahoo, kingfish and barracuda, or jig the bottom for snappers and grouper. "Bliss in Belize....a rod, a reel and a tarpon." - Time Magazine Non anglers enjoy snorkeling, sailing, diving and exploring the underwater world of El Pescador. enjoy the cool evening breeze on a moonlight cruise snorkel the famous Hol Chan Marine Reserve and the Mexico Rocks, swim and snorkel with the friendly manatees, sting rays and tame nurse sharks dive the countless parallel canyons and caves observe underwater creatures in their own habitat. The lodge features a long verandah overlooking the beach and barrier reef. The immaculate beach, with graceful palms and tropical plants reflect the well maintained building; accommodations for 27 are clean and comfortable with private bath. The intimate, well-stocked bar features an exquisite fresh fruit rum punch and is the perfect place to swap stories after a day's activities. Hors d'oeuvres are served in the evening. Buffet style meals are a delightful blend of both local and American dishes consisting of fresh seafood, a meat selection, potatoes, rice or pasta, fruit, vegetables, a garden salad and home baked bread. Dessert is complemented with coffee or tea. Rates - Full American style breakfast is served between 6:30 am - 8:30 am.

Rates are quoted in US dollars and are per person. Packages include the round trip air fare from Belize's International Airport to the island of Ambergris Caye, the round trip jeep and water taxi to and from the lodge, a welcome drink, room, the government hotel tax and the 15% Value Added Tax where applicable, three meals each day and the boat and guide for the number of days specified per package.Package do not include the guide's tips, gear or items purchased at the bar or tackle shop.
Guides work an 8 - 8 1/2 hour day but will put in extra time at $20. an hour. This is handled strictly between the guide and angler. However an 8 hour fishing day is usually more than enough sun for most anglers. Other Fishing and Diving Packages, Non-fishing and Adventure packages are available on request. |
