High jumping Mahi Mahi are common off-shore fish species found in Abaco waters.
Mahi Mahi, also known as dolphin fish, readily eat flies.
Offshore Fishing for mahi-mahi, (dolphin fish) tuna, wahoo, several species of sailfish as well as scores of other hard fighting pelagic game fish are common in the tropical blue waters around Abaco. It only takes a few minutes to get onto the productive waters from Bahamas Backroad Fly Fishing Lodge. You can charter a skipper and boat for outings as short as a half-day.
