About Mission Lodge...Mission Lodge is located on the shores of Lake Aleknagik in the heart of the Bristol Bay region of Southwest Alaska's prime salmon and trout waters. This facility is an ideal site for small corporate meetings, business entertaining, or an Alaskan vacation. The well traveled angler will recognize the extras that make a stay at Aleknagik Mission Lodge a qualifiable trip of a lifetime. Easy access in and out of Dillingham. Full-service conference facility. Single occupancy accommodations for all guests. Sauna, hot tub, dining, and a comfortable lounge and recreation area are added features. A large deck surrounds the facility - steps from the dock. Large bay windows frame views of Lake Aleknagik and the mountains beyond. This is a rugged, immense land of beauty - a great place to just step out of everyday pressures and relax. During the day, wildlife can be observed in its natural habitat. Moose, caribou, bears and eagles are common sights during fishing excursions. In the evening, guests enjoy family-style dining on fresh caught barbecued salmon, prime rib, or other entrees. While guests relax and swap fish stories, their catch will be cleaned, packaged and frozen for shipping. Aleknagik Mission Lodge is 300 air miles southwest of Anchorage, Alaska and fifteen miles northwest of Dillingham. Transportation from Dillingham to Aleknagik Mission Lodge is provided. We will be glad to help you with your plane reservations and package itinerary. A detailed list of what to bring and other useful information is furnished upon receipt of deposit. Aleknagik Mission Lodge is well equipped to fly into remote areas by both float plane and specially equipped wheel planes. During a week-long stay, anglers are encouraged to spend a day floating on one of the trout streams in the region and to rotate through the remote outpost camps on the banks of superb fishing waters. 2002 Rates: Mission Lodge full service package $6,000 per week All prices include: Transportation to/from Dillingham, tent camp and lodge accommodations, meals, guides, fly-outs, boats/motor, gas and preparation of fish for shipment. Trip packages are all inclusive and start from Dillingham, Alaska. Complete pre-trip information about our trips, including tackle and packing suggestions, will be sent to you upon booking. Cancellation Policy...- A fifty percent (50%) deposit is required to secure your trip dates, with the balance due ninety (90) days prior to the trip date. Deposits are due within thirty days of invoice date to confirm reservations. If it is necessary for you to cancel, the lodge will try to arrange substitute dates. If trip cancellations are received prior to the final payment date, but substitute dates are not possible, deposits will be returned less a fee of $500.00 per trip. Trip cancellations after the final payment due date, in which vacancy cannot be filled, will be charged a cancellation fee of up to one hundred percent (100%) of package price.
An ALASKA Fishing License is required for everyone over the age of 14. They can be purchased at the lodge.
EVALUATION REPORT... We have visited Mission Lodge and found the lodge spotlessly kept and very comfortable. Their equipment is in top condition and their angling program is well organized, efficiently run and eminently worthy of the designation 'world class' - an often overused euphemism. The lodge boasts many fine secret spots where the fishing is absolutely superb, all amidst some of the most incredible scenery Alaska has to offer. This is a lodge with an enviable reputation dating back over many successful seasons.
